The Weekly NFL Update #14

Hey, fellow football fans, I’m back. I know it’s been a while but I’ve seen some pretty cool headlines this offseason and it brought me right back here, to The Weekly NFL Update! In this week’s episode we are going to talk about some inruiging offseason stories.

Numero Uno on my list today is the Miami Dolphins. Let’s talk about star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Tua is going into his fifth and final year on his contract with Dolphins. Tua and the Dolphins have been having contract talks since March and have not settled on a deal do this day. Tua belives he should be one of the highest paid quarterbacks, it seems the Dolphins don’t quite agree. For Tagovailoa to be one of the highest paid quarterbacks in the league he would have to be making over 50 million dollars per year. There are 6 quarterbacks making over 50 million dollars per year, Joe Burrow (55 million), Jared Goff (53 million), Patrick Mahomes (52.6 million), Justin Herbert (52.5 million), Lamar Jackson (52 million), Jalen Hurts (51 million). I certainly believe he deserves the money.

My second favorite offseason story is Derrick Henry, one of the best running backs in the league, going from the Titans to the Ravens. This is a big deal as the Ravens are one of the most powerful teams in the NFL and Derrick Henry will make the Ravens even stronger, pushing them closer to the Super Bowl. Let’s see what Derrick and the Baltimore Ravens can do next season.

The third story on my list is both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are both heading down to Pittsburgh to battle for the starting quarterback spot. I don’t know what the Steelers were thinking but honestly, it’s entertaining. I absolutley can’t wait to see who starts next season!
